Make Predictions

After all students have shared their designs ask:

• Do you predict the distance your marble rolls will be in the top half of all the data for your class, in the middle section, or in the bottom half?
• Do you predict the distance your marble rolls will be in the top half of all the data sent to the Marble Roll database, in the middle section, or in the bottom half?

Have students write their predictions on their data-recording sheet. Remind them to explain each prediction.
