Follow the Steps Below To Catch Sunshine.

1. Carry your solar collector, data recording sheet, timer, and anything else you might need to a place in the shade.

2. Set up your collector, leave it there for 10 minutes, read the temperature, and record it on the data collection sheet.

3. Move your collector to a place in the sun. Set-up the collector, leave it there for 10 minutes, read the temperature, and record it on the data collection sheet.

4. Calculate how much the temperature went up.

   • temperature in the sun - temperature in the shade = temperature increase

5. Return to the classroom and send your data to the Catching Sunshine database.
