Step 3: Plan Ahead

Get Ready for Measuring Day!

  1. Decide when and where you will hold Measuring Day.

    • Be sure students have enough space to work.

  2. Get permission from your administration.

  3. Incorporate he day into the school's math or science afternoon/night.

  4. Invite parents and school personnel to watch and/or help with data collection.

    5.

  5. Ask a reporter from your local newspaper to be present on Measuring Day.

    6.

  6. Have a camera and film ready to take pictures.
